Functional properties 1.Complex microbial community was made for degrading crop stalks.  All kinds of the microbes came into being a close relationship of intergrowth.  Under the suitable temperature, crop straw can be degraded in 15 -25 days, and the color changes to brown  or dark brown. 2.After the crop straw and other organic matter were degraded by this product,  the nutrient was turned into simple organics and easily be absorbed by the plants.  This product can improve the crop straw’s nutrient utilization.  The Plant pathogens and eggs can be killed by the high temperature of the Composting system. 3.The complex microbial community contains many functional bacteria,  such as bacteria of nitrogen-fixing, phosphate-solubilizing, potassium releasing. It can improve fertilizer efficiency. 4.This product shall keep the soil in good heart, enhance the resistance of crops to disease,  promote the absorption of N, P, K and trace elements, and st

Soil amendments Part I

Soil amendments are materials which are worked into the soil to enhance the soil’s properties.  Examples would include organic matter such as compost, manure, bone meal or leaf mold,  as well as synthetic fertilizers. There are several reasons soil amendments might be recommended for your garden or lawn: 1) Often soil is low in organic matter, necessary for the structure, water retention and life of your soil.  2) You might also add amendments to alter the soil's pH.  3) Amendments are also excellent for lightening clay or rocky soil and adding substance to sandy soils.

Secondary and Micronutrients For VEGETABLES AND FIELD CROPS

Plant nutrients in fertilizers are classified as major nutrients and micronutrients.  The most important. Major  nutrients are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K).  Plants require these nutrients in relatively  large amounts,  and these are the nutrients most likely to be deficient for plant growth.  The other major  nutrients, also called secondary nutrients, are calcium (Ca),  magnesium (Mg) and sulfur (S).  They are  also required in relatively large amounts but are less likely to be deficient.  Micronutrients are essential  for plant growth, but plants require relatively small amounts of them.  They include boron (B), copper (Cu),  iron (Fe),manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo) and zinc (Zn). These elements may also be referred to as  minor or trace elements, but “micronutrients” is preferred. Calcium Deficiency Symptoms Calcium deficiency is usually observed as a failure of terminal buds and apical root tips to develop. In corn, new leaves fail to emerge from t

Effect of trace elements on Leafy vegetables

图片
The significant role of plants in both cycling of trace elements and contaminating the food chain has been well illustrated for various ecosystems.  Plants can accumulate trace elements, especially heavy metals, in or on their tissues due to their great ability to adapt to variable chemical properties of the environment, thus plants are intermediate reservoirs through which trace elements from soils, and partly from waters and air, move to man and animals. Leafy vegetables are regarded as group whose leaves and stems are eaten as vegetables. They also have an abundance of vitamins and minerals within them. The primary minerals present in green vegetables are magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium, vitamins C, E and K amongst others. Studies have shown that leafy vegetables have greater potential of accumulating heavy metals in their edible parts than grain or fruit crops as fruits and seeds have low transpiration rates.
